Stevens Mill's music is "made in America", fresh and original. Specializing in original acoustic music, the band utilizes a unique combination of instrumentation to create a "new grass" sound and show worth not only hearing but watching! Instrumentation includes Acoustic guitars, 5-String Banjo, upright and Acoustic bass, violin, mandolin, and Peruvian Cajon Drum box, Electric Drum Kit and other percussive instruments. . Sound Reinforcement includes dual Bose L1 Cylindrical towers for crystal clear and controlled sound. The group is currently in the studio working on their 2nd CD "Kent's Hill" due for release Spring 2007. Stevens Mill is Singer Songwriter Robert Webster playing acoustic guitar and five string banjo, Tom "Mocks" McCrory playing upright & electric bass, Two time Galax Fiddling Champion, Mandolinist and Guitarist Glen Alexander, and Bill "Fingers" Loelius on Percussion.
"Kick Ass" Acoustic Music ! How's that for a genre? Well you could throw in New Grass, Jazz, Country, Rock, Pop, and Old Time but we like to keep it simple so we'll stick with simple old "Kick Ass" Acoustic!
