Stevens Mill is a collaborative Americana
New Grass performance and
recording project led by Singer Songwriter Robert Webster.
Instrumentation includes Webster on Acoustic guitar and vocals, Tom "Mocks" McCrory on upright and electric bass, guitar and vocals, Billy "Fingers" Loelius on percussion
and Glen Alexander on Fiddle and Mandolin.

Tom "Mocks" McCrory is a versatile musician whose bass playing adds a
unique rhythmic and melodic foundation to The Stevens Mill Project. Mocks also
plays guitar and keyboard, sings backup vocals, and contributes to the
band's arrangements and original compositions. He has performed in jazz,
classic and progressive rock, and electric blues bands, and continues to
play bass and sing backup vocals as part of Webster and Mocks duo with
Charlotte singer-songwriter Robert Webster.
Bill, "Fingers"
Loelius is an accomplished percussionist with over 30-years experience. His
early musical roots were in marching percussion, including many years
playing snare and multi-toms at the highest level of the marching music
activity in Drum Corps International. Fingers has been the percussionist
for Morningstar Praise Ensemble since the early 1990s, where
his styles range from light rock on an acoustic trap set to classical
selections on orchestral percussion instruments, including tympani. He has
also accompanied the Charlotte Brass and other similar ensembles from
time to time.

Fingers
is the
percussionist for The Stevens Mill Band, where his specialty
is the Peruvian Cajon and Roland’s “HandSonic” hand percussion instrument. Using this unique
electronic drum kit, “Fingers” is known for playing jazz, rock and country
rhythms with an almost unlimited variety of percussion sounds to suit the
band’s eclectic style.
The band is additionally joined by Master Fiddler and two time Galax
Fiddling Champion Glen Alexander playing
Violin and Mandolin. Alexander's mastery of both instruments is
readily apparent as he adds considerably to the original music of Webster.
The band's focus continues to be on the performance of original music
with a salting of unique takes on a few of their favorite cover tunes.
